Association of Engineers of Assam State Electricity Board is a premiere techno social organization of all graduate engineers of erstwhile Assam State Electricity Board (ASEB), now Assam Power Distribution Company Ltd. (APDCL), Assam Power Generation Company Ltd. (APGCL) and Assam Electricity Grid Corporation Ltd. (AEGCL). It was formed in 1960 and registered under Society registration act XXI of 1860 on 1992-1993. Our vision is Electricity for all and our objective is improvement of service conditions and quality of professional work in generation, transmission and distribution areas. Since its inception, AOE has been making continuous effort to act as binding force on the board to take timely actions on various reforms in order to make electricity affordable to common man and ASEB a congenial organization to work in.
